2016 Screen Actors Guild Awards -Award Ceremony held at the Shrine Auditorium,Los Angeles,California Saturday January 30,2016

 
The 22nd Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards honoring the best achievements in film and television performances for the year 2015 were presented on January 30, 2016

Carol Burnett was announced as the 2015 SAG Life Achievement Award honoree on July 20, 2015.

The night's big winner was Spotlight, the journalism drama about the Boston Globe's coverage of Catholic Church sex abuse scandals, which took home the prize for Best Ensemble Cast in a Motion Picture, generally considered the SAG Awards' closest equivalent to the Oscar for Best Picture.

The big individual winner was Idris Elba, who won two awards, the first time a single performer has won two awards for two different roles in the same night.
He won the Supporting Actor in a Motion Picture prize for Beasts of No Nation and the Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries award for Luther.

Other major prizes went to Leonardo DiCaprio for The Revenant and Brie Larson for Room.

The top television cast awards went to the ensembles of Orange Is the New Black and Downton Abbey.
