The makers of Panipat starring Arjun Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt and Kriti
Sanon have unveiled the teaser poster of the film which will narrate the
events that led to the third Battle of Panipat.
Filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker, who has directed films such as Lagaan, Swades, Jodha Akbar and Mohenjo Daro, took to Twitter to share the teaser poster.
He wrote: “Historical dramas have always fascinated me. This time it is a story about what led to the Third Battle of #Panipat. Here’s the first Teaser Poster!! (sic).”
In the poster, we can see a warrior’s hand holding a sword with a faint image of a battlefield forming the backdrop.
This will be Arjun’s first period film based on one of the significant chapters of Indian history.
The actor shared his excitement on being a part of the film. He wrote: “Proud to bring the valour of the Maratha warriors to the big screen!”
Kriti too shared her happiness on being on board the film based on history.
She wrote: “Proud to be a part of the recounting of bravery, passion and patriotism in the Third Battle of #Panipat.”
AGPPL (Ashutosh Gowariker Productions Pvt. Ltd) and Vision World have collaborated for the first time to bring the Third Battle of Panipat to the big screen.
The film is slated to hit theatres on December 6, 2019
